What Is VPN? Importance of VPN! How to use it?

VPN or Virtual Private Network

VPN or Virtual Private Network is a way to add security and privacy to private and public networks such as WiFi hotspots and the Internet. The company often uses VPN to protect confidential data. However, the use of Personal VPN is becoming increasingly popular for more migration due to previous interaction with the Internet. VPN is used to enhance privacy because the initial IP address of the user is replaced by VPN provider replacement. In this way, the user can obtain the IP address from any gateway city provided by the VPN service. For example, you may live in San Francisco, but with VPN you live in Amsterdam, New York, or any number of portal cities.

Safety

Over the years VPN security company, the main reason for using VPN is safety. The method of intercepting data in the network is becoming increasingly simple. WiFi spoofing and Firesheep are two easy ways to steal information. A useful analogy is that the firewall protects the data on the computer and the VPN can protect the data on the Web. VPN encapsulates all online data transfers using advanced encryption protocols and secure tunneling technology. Most smart computer users do not want to connect to the Internet without a firewall or the latest antivirus software. Evolving security threats and increased reliance on the Internet make VPN an important part of comprehensive security. The integrity check ensures that no data is lost and connections are not hijacked. This method is superior to the agent because all traffic is protected.

Configuring VPN

VPN configuration is a simple process. Typically, it is easy to enter the user name and server address. Key smartphones can configure VPN using PPTP protocol and L2TP / IPsec protocol. All major operating systems can configure PPTP VPN connections. The OpenVPN and L2TP / IPsec protocols require downloading a small open source application (OpenVPN) and certificate.

The number of VPN protocol

Protocols and available security functions is increasing over time. The most common protocols are:

 PPTP

PPTP is available on Windows 95 or later. The main selling point of PPTP can be easily set for each major operating system. In brief, PPTP tunnels point - to - point connections on GRE tunnels. Unfortunately, the security of the PPTP protocol has been questioned in recent years. It is still strong, but it is safest.

L2TP / IPsec

L2TP over IPsec is safer than PPTP and provides more features. L2TP / IPsec is a way to implement two protocols to get the best of each protocol. In this case, the L2TP protocol is used to create a tunnel, and IPsec provides a secure channel. This makes an impressive package of safety.

Open VPN

OpenVPN is a popular SSL-based VPN. The software used is open source and can be used for free. SSL is a mature encryption protocol, OpenVPN can operate on a single UDP or TCP port and is extremely flexible.

The VPN provider

VPN provider has many options. There are several VPN providers offering free service, but there are several VPN service fees. We found that paying VPN providers (such as VyprVPN) take precedence over free service providers. Powerful gateway, proven security, free software, unparalleled speed
