What is FPS?!!

Frame per Second:

Frame per second (FPS) is a measure of the performance of the display. It consists of the number of full scans of the display screen occurring every second. This is the number of times the image on the screen is updated every second, or the rate at which the imaging device generates a unique continuous image called a frame.

Explanation:

Each frame is composed of a plurality of horizontal scanning lines. These represent the number of scan lines per frame.

Currently, there are three major FPS standards ("p" stands for Frame-by-Line) of 24p, 25p and 30p for television and movie production.

Mimics the frame rate of 30p film camera.
24p is widely used when transferring video signals to movies.

25p for direct compatible TV. It is also suitable for progressive output to LCD monitors, computer monitors, and projectors.

High-end HDTV is available in 50p and 60p progressive format.

72p is an experimental format.
The bigger the FPS, the smoother the motion of the video. Full motion video is usually more than 30 FPS. Video files of different formats have different FPS rates. If the FPS speed is slow, the computer file will be smaller.

In the first 3D video game, there is only a frame rate of 6 FPS. In today's action-oriented game, the frame rate can range from 30 FPS ("Halo 3" etc.) to 100 FPS ("Unreal Tournament 3" etc.). Computer game enthusiasts can demonstrate computer capabilities and efficiency using the game's FPS score.
